Bruce Whitacre Poetry Reading and Book Signing

Event Description

Join us for an evening with Bruce Whitacre. He will be reading a selection of his poetry and signing books. Bruce is the author of "The Elk in the Glade: The World of Pioneer and Painter Jennie Hicks." It was a Publishers Weekly editors pick in 2022. His new book, "GOOD HOUSEKEEPING," will be published in 2023. His poems have appeared in "American Journal of Poetry," "Big City Lit," "Impossible Archive," and many more. His work is included in the anthologies "American Graveyard," "The Wonders of Winter," and "I Wanna be Loved by You: Poems on Marilyn Monroe," and the craft book "The Strategic Poet." He has been nominated for “Pushcart” and “Best of the Net” prizes. He completed master workshops with Jericho Brown, Alex Dimitrov, Rowan Ricardo Phillips, and Mark Wunderlich among others. He holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and lives in New York. He is a native of Nebraska.

His management career has included executive positions in public accounting, publishing, international economic development, banking, and theatre.
