Event Description

Enjoy a poetry reading with Dr. Brad Modlin, the Paul and Clarice Reynolds Endowed Chair of Creative Writing and associate professor at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

His book, "Everyone at This Party Has Two Names," won the Cowles Poetry Prize. His poetry has inspired orchestral scores, art exhibitions, and podcasts, including "The Slowdown" with U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limón and "Poetry Unbound" with Pádraig Ó Tuama. He has read internationally, including the American School of Paris, and has had poetry commissioned by the University of Melbourne's art gallery. He keynoted the Philosophique Poetica World Poetry Conference in India.

Dr. Modlin coordinates the Reynolds Visiting Writers Series and has given readings at universities nationwide, including USC, Monroe Community College, Western Kentucky University, and Northern Arizona University.

He enjoys laughing with his students.
